Fancy Dress

Check out any photographs or video from Bacchus and you will notice that a large portion of the field turn out in fancy dress. Over the years running as a bunch of grapes, Darth Vader or a selection of Superheroes has become synonymous with the race. 

Some are extravagant creations others are DIY efforts that may not make it all the way to the finish. We love a wine theme, or a pun but we also love it when a group of friends or a clubmates have coordinated their outfits. We welcome, encourage and celebrate them all. Fancy dress has become a big part of the event and is very much in keeping with the 'Fun Run' spirit of Bacchus. We don't award prizes for the fastest finishers, all our awards - which are more wine - are for those who take on the fancy dress challenge. 

But don't worry if dressing up fills your heart with dread. It is not compulsory. If you are more comfortable coming as a 'runner', great, you'll be in good company. But for those of you up love to dress up, here is some inspiration from past editions of the race.
